My Basketball Journey

Casey Teson | CEO & Lead Skills Trainer

“Before my time as a trainer, I attended St. Charles High where I had a very successful career. Throughout my four years as a varsity player, I went on to score 1,897 points and am currently the all-time leading scorer at SCHS. As a senior, I was named Class 4A Player of the Year, and also helped my team to the Class 4A State Title in 2015, scoring 35 points in the State Final game with 29 points in the second half. From sophomore year to senior year, I was selected to the All-State team, and was named the Gateway Athletic North Conference Player of the Year for three consecutive years.

I ended up earning a scholarship to play Division-I Basketball at Eastern Illinois University. In my Freshman and Sophomore college seasons, I saw action in 29 games at Shooting Guard. I then transferred to Maryville University, starting all 28 games as a junior and averaged 12 points per game, scoring in double figures 21 times throughout the season and leading the team with 61 three-pointers, shooting 39.6 percent from behind the arc. In my senior year, I was selected to be apart of the First Team All-GLVC, leading my team in scoring at 19.2 PPG, the highest mark of the Division II era, and ranked third in the league, scoring a career-high of 38 points which is the school record for most points in a game. In two seasons at Maryville, I totaled 829 points.

After graduation with a degree in Communications, I received an offer to play professionally overseas in Germany (Pro-B) before becoming a full-time basketball skills trainer.”
